How Alfred Molinas Doc Ock Will Enter Spider-Man: No Way Home. Alfred Molina previously portrayed Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus in the Sony Pictures Studios production Spider-Man 2 Alfred Molina also voiced an alternate version of Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus in the. He first appeared in Sam Raimis Spider-Man 2 but wasnt seen again following a heroic sacrifice at the end of the film. We may just be seeing two dead villains come back from the grave traversing the Spider-Verse, one of which is considered one of the best in the entire Spider-Man franchise since Raimi’s sequel debuted in 2004. Alfredo 'Alfred' Molina portrayed Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer finally confirms what was long speculated: the return of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus. He apparently arrived some weeks ago to work on some stunt choreography. It is said that Molina is on set and “in full Doc Ock mode”. GWW is now reporting that, similar to Foxx, Spider-Man 2 actor Alfred Molina–who played the only live-action iteration of the intellectual villain Doctor Octopus–is also returning to his role in some capacity! This rumor is to be taken with a grain of salt–however, it is from a highly reliable source. Whether he will be portraying the character we’ve seen in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 or a slightly altered version still remains in question. Weeks ago, it was revealed and later confirmed by Jamie Foxx–in a since-deleted Instagram post–that the former Ray actor will be returning to his role as Electro. Geeks WorldWide has now uncovered more news on the third upcoming and untitled Spider-Man installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe–as the eight limbs of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock are rumored to be extending their way into the MCU! What's more, it remains to be seen how all of this will tie into Sony's Spider-Man spinoffs, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teasing Spider-Man " happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes.Spider-Man’s world is upside down–Doctor Strange is expanding into a Multiverse of Madness. Spider-Man films are always blockbusters, but Spider-Man 3 is becoming the most exciting to date, a celebration of the character's big-screen history. The scale is greater than ever before, with Tom Holland's Peter Parker - already no stranger to space - finding himself caught up in Multiversal affairs. If that's the case, then Doctor Octopus and Electro can actually round out the MCU's Sinister Six. It's true Mysterio is thought to be dead after Spider-Man: Far From Home, but he could well have faked his death. Sony has long been interested in bringing the Sinister Six to the big screen, and the MCU has apparently been taking steps towards that, introducing a number of key villains the Vulture, the Shocker, Mysterio, and the Prowler. There is, of course, another reason in the comics, Doctor Octopus and Electro are both members of a group of supervillains called the Sinister Six, who routinely menace Spider-Man. They both have Multiversal connections too - Doctor Octopus attempted to break spacetime in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, while Mike Costa and Robbie Thompson's Web Warriors series saw Electro learn to travel the Multiverse in an energy form. Back in December news broke that Alfred Molina would appear as cephalo-villain Otto Octavius, aka Doctor Octopus, in the forthcoming Spider. What's more, both of these villains are characters who could potentially have survived their apparent deaths, unlike various iterations of the Green Goblin or the Lizard. Foxx, in contrast, was never really given much of a chance to shine, and this is a chance to redeem his villain. Molina's Doctor Octopus is still viewed as one of the best villains in the history of superhero movies, so it's not surprising Marvel want to see Molina reprise the role. Consequently, they don't just want to bring back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield they also want supporting cast and even key enemies. It seems safe to assume Spider-Man 3 will embrace the Multiverse, and realistically Marvel want to make the most of that.
