9/20/2023 0 Comments Sonos software frustrating![]() ![]() On the other hand, I've had personal experience with Vizio soundbars, and have looked closely into LG and Samsung - their software is truly tragic. Works great, reliable, never have to mess with it. I haven't ever had an issue with the Sonos app or ability to stream from different services. I'd say one of Sonos' strengths from a software perspective is "it just works". Is it just me, or do other soundbar apps have SUPER crappy apps if the Sonos one is considered magic? Doesn't seem magic to me AT ALL. A possibility to set crossover frequencies for the bass? a delay in sound when just connecting 1 SL? What do you mean with forcing people to buy at least 2? And why no Bluetooth functionality, which can be superhandy and costs nothing. It's also INSANE some support isn't built into the software of the hardware. better equalizing options, more flexibility in other settings, etc. I set everything up and to me the software seemed even lacking a ton of options I would've loved to have. However, my father in law owns a beam and 2xSL speakers and though I think they sound great (beam is too small for our house, arc is the way then but sounds too boomy to me) the software didn't seem all that special. Choices and arguments aside, let's talk software. I will in the near future, since I will buy a Bose 900 (I personally like the sound more can use the Bluetooth, don't need $400-600 accesoires to add a record player into the mix and it will get full Chromecast support which comes in handy for us). Given that I haven't tried the software of any other supplier yet.
